NSMQ Winners: NSMQ Winners and Runners-up From 1994 to 2021
The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) is the oldest and most popular quiz competition contested annually by senior high schools in Ghana since 1994.
A school must compete at the district, zonal, and regional levels and place highly to advance to the national competition. Schools that make it to the quarter finals of the national competition are seeded for the following year’s championship.
The competition’s primary objective, aside from the trolls and bragging rights that it attracts, is to challenge these young pupils’ cognitive abilities and encourage them to pursue STEM (Science, Mathematics, and Technology) studies.

Which school has won the NSMQ most?
Presec-Legon is the top winner on the list with six trophies, followed by Prempeh College with five and Persco with three. Prempeh College defeated PRESEC-Legon and Keta SHTS to win the most recent competition, the 2021 NSMQ.
