Here is the list of MPs who signed the motion to remove Ken Ofori Atta, Ghana’s finance minister.
Due to recent increases in inflation and the depreciation of the cedi against the US dollar, the public has increased pressure on the government, particularly the finance minister, the vice president, and the president of the country.
A move to fire the finance minister has been requested as a result of the country’s current situation.
It appears that the minority and majority members of parliament are in agreement over the motion to oust the finance minister.

The majority of the Parliament has also chosen to ignore the next 2023 budget presentation unless Ken Ofori-Atta is removed from his role as finance minister. The minority of the Parliament has started legal action to have Ofori-Atta dismissed.
The parliamentarians explained why they were taking action, claiming that the government’s poor economic management was to blame.
According to Ahmed Ibrahim, the minority’s deputy chief whip, they have a responsibility to ask for the resignation of Ken Ofori Atta as finance minister since they are the people’s representatives.
He continued by saying that the majority also holds this view and that many individuals share it. In order to remove the Finance Minister, the Majority should support the Minority Leader’s motion.
