UK bans international students from bringing in dependent(Family)

International students coming to study in the UK will no longer be permitted to bring family members with them unless they meet certain criteria, as part of a government effort to reduce immigration.

International students will no longer be permitted to bring dependents unless they are enrolled in postgraduate courses categorised as research programs.

The package will make it impossible for overseas students to transition from the student route to the job route before their studies are finished.

In addition to eliminating this entitlement, there will be a reassessment of the maintenance requirement for students and dependents, as well as a crackdown on “shady” education providers “who use inappropriate applications to sell immigration, not education.”
