VIP Transport Increases Accra-Kumasi fares to GH¢120.
Following a severe economic downturn marked by a continual rise in fuel prices, VIP Jeoun has once again raised the cost of its Accra-Kumasi service from GHC100 to GHC120.
The management of VIP JEOUN Transport Service has raised prices on the Accra-Kumasi route by 20%, just two weeks after another 20% price hike.
A ticket from Kumasi to Accra was going for GH¢120 on Monday morning as opposed to GH80 and GH100 the previous two and three weeks.

On Monday, October 24, 2022, the VIP JEOUN Transport Service, which is made up of independent bus owners who have joined forces under the moniker VIP Jeoun, increased fares by 20%, citing the rising cost of fuel and replacement parts (spare parts).
The Ghana Private Road Transport Union also followed up and increased fares by 19 percent.
On Monday, November 7, 2022, a few commuters from Kumasi to Accra arrived at the VIP station at the Neoplan station in Asafo only to learn that the fare from Kumasi to Accra is now GH¢120 starting this morning.
